Sunday Seafood Brunch featuring Merrick Watts
June 5, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
| $139Fun. Times. Ahead.
After a life-changing encounter with a glass of phenomenal wine in 1999, Merrick became obsessed with vino. In fact, his love for the drop was so intense he created a company, Grapes of Mirth, to bring comedy and wine together. While people might know Merrick best for TV shows like The Project and Hughesy We Have a Problem, or his radio program Merrick and Rosso (with Modernister, Tim Ross), Merrick is a qualified wine expert with a level three WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) award and a Barossa Master qualification. He’s toured with his comedy show An Idiot’s Guide to Wine and even curated a Broadsheet Wine Box.
While Merrick has you in stitches, you’ll be feasting on a menu of freshly shucked Sydney Rock Appellation oysters, barbequed scallops, octopus, squid and prawns, and bowls of crab and ‘Nduja gnocchetti. The menu by Olio’s Sicilian-born Sauro will have you thinking you’re on holiday on one of the Mediterranean’s most gorgeous Island – all the while quaffing wines chosen by Merrick himself.
Call the posse and get your tickets ASAP as this ticketed event will sell out quickly.
